- 13 students selected to KMEA State Band and/or Jazz Bands (1996, 2000, 2001, 2005-08, 2010, 2014, 2019)
- 2 students performed as soloists with Free State High School Ensembles at KMEA (2004 & 2007)
- numerous students placed on snare drum in drumlines of Lawrence High & Free State High Schools
- numerous students with “I” ratings at the State Level of KSHSAA Music Festivals
- coached Percussion Ensembles to “I” ratings at KMEA State Festival for Lawrence High, Free State High, & Olathe Northwest High Schools (2002-03, 06-08, 10-13, 15-19)
- numerous students have been First Chair percussionists in their respective school bands
